Card Identifier

Point your camera at a card (or upload a photo). PokeHive matches it to the catalog so you can add it to your collection in one tap — using the catalog image, or your own photo if you prefer. Want a centering read instead? Use the Pre-Grader.

Point your camera at a single card, straight-on, filling the frame — or upload a photo.

Identification runs in your browser (perceptual image hash + text recognition). Nothing is uploaded unless you tick “save my photo” below.

Capture or upload a photo and the closest catalog matches appear here.

Frequently asked

How does the identifier recognise a card?
It computes a perceptual fingerprint (image hash) of the artwork and reads the card name and collector number with on-device OCR, then matches both against PokeHive's catalogue. It all runs in your browser.
It picked the wrong card, or found no match.
Retake the photo straight-on, filling the frame, on a plain background in even light. Then pick the correct card from the ranked list — the closest matches are shown even when the top one isn't certain.
Do I need an account?
No — identifying a card is free and needs no sign-in. You only need an account to add the card to a collection or save your own photo of it.
Can it tell if a card is fake?
No. It matches artwork to the catalogue; it does not authenticate. For suspected counterfeits, compare texture, print dots, weight and the light test, or submit to a grading company.
